Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodivergent condition characterized by a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with daily functioning and development. Co-occurring problems are usual with ADHD.
Adults and Children with ADHD often struggle with maintaining focus, exhibit hyperactive or restless behaviours, and act on impulse. These symptoms of ADHD typically occur in two or more settings, such as in work, school, or social interactions. ADHD symptoms emerge in childhood and can continue into adolescence and adulthood, potentially affecting the child’s health and wellbeing.
There are three types of ADHD: inattentive, hyperactive/impulsive, and combined. Inattentive-type ADHD involves frequent daydreaming, losing things, and being easily distracted.
Individuals with ADHD often exhibit difficulties in one or more areas of executive functioning, which can significantly impact their daily functioning and overall quality of life. Executive function deficits associated with ADHD include, Inhibition, Working Memory, Flexibility, Planning and Organization, Self-Monitoring.
Impact Health conducts comprehensive assessments and reports related to diagnosing Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) from Children to Adulthood, as well as common co-occurring disorders such as Oppositional defiance, conduct disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, and assessments of functioning and achievement (intelligence or learning disorder) if required.
Assessment Involves:
- Comprehensive History taken from multiple sources.
- Parent/Child, or Adult clinical Interview.
- Clinical Interview of ADHD and assessment for Co-Occurring disorders.
- Multi-informant Normed Questionnaires (Conners' Adult ADHD Rating Scales)
- Computerised Neuropsychological Assessment (T.O.V.A.® version 9)
- Comprehensive Report outlining findings
- Referral and Psychological Intervention Planning.

- We will start the assessment prior to your visit at our office by sending you information and questionnaires.
- Visit our office for in depth clinical interview and to ascertain any co-occuring issues that may require further assessment. We will conduct neuropsychological assessment at this stage.
- Final visit to our office for continued assessment if required and results.
- Report sent detailing results and for discussion of treatment. We can offer interventions and coaching for children and adults related to ADHD and co-occurring problems which can be eligible for medicare rebate.
Pricing is from $1250.00 depending on further assessment required.
